On 15 February 1996 Tom Crage purchased the business, renamed it "Hire Intelligence" and developed the infrastructure necessary to manage a growing business and created systems to facilitate franchising. Hire Intelligence's first Franchisee commenced trading on 1 August 1996. The company now has company owned outlets in Perth, Sydney and London and franchised outlets across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is the market leader in the Australian short term computer rental market and is the second largest operator in the United Kingdom. Its business has expanded to include the rental of: IT and audio visual equipment Videoconferencing equipment and facilities Fully equipped training rooms Rental periods range from 1 day up to 4 year leases. It also offers new and used equipment for sale. Hire Intelligence has a proven, successful business system with effective controls and a clear vision for the future. Its customers include Government departments, a range of corporate clients and many small to medium enterprises. Hire Intelligence was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in January 2002.
